8 conferences games, one crossover to the other conference and week 0 open. I guess that works.

Gotta think Butler will drop out of 6A, leaving 8 teams. 7 conference games, but then what does WPIAL do about other two games?
Probably 5A crossovers

Mike White posted on twitter what we know so far: McKeesport staying 4A, PR staying 5A and Quips playing up in 3A.  The rest we will apparently find out on Friday.

I hope to get some more info tomorrow.

Also, at halftime of the Thomas Jefferson/Dallas Area game, I'll have "Five Good Minutes with Dr. Bob Lombardi" as is our regular practice when I'm covering PIAA Championships.
We'll replay that at halftime of the Avonworth/Southern Columbia game, too.

IF Aliquippa's playing 3A, what is Beaver Falls doing?

And not shocked at all that McKessport is playing 4A.
As I said previously in this thread, the TIGERS will enter as the 4A PROHIBITIVE favorite in the WPIAL.

I could see Port as a favorite, since TJ does lose a lot to graduation.  I'm very excited about the potential for a great Mon Valley rivalry between the two!  I don't believe that they have ever played.

You read my mind hitman. Thatís an awesome new rivalry. I was hoping McKeesport played in 4A just for that game.

Hitman,

I believe that you are correct that they never played.

Tjjaguarfootball.org has one of if not the best game archive website with scores from every game in school history, and I do not remember ever seeing McKeeport on the schedule.

Assuming that they would slide into the 2020 variation of the Big 8, they do have some history though:
-in the 80s McK and WM played each other I believe for a home and home
-Trinity and McK played together in the Quad-West I believe for one cycle then in the Quad-Southwest for a cycle
-Ringgold was part of that Quad West cycle as well
-LH and/or GS and McK I believe were in the more traditional Quad South in the 90s. I think that McK ended up there for at least a cycle instead of their more traditional East with Gateway/FR/etc.
-Indiana and Mckeesport played the last two years as part of WPIAL generated crossovers!

In other words possibly everyone BUT TJ!

Does anyone in 4A run an option offense? If not, that will be an immediate edge for MCK, while those teams develop some experience defending it.
