Finally got a nice slate of games. Kansas State Texas is interesting. That new coach at Kansas State seems to be building something serious. Also will be interesting to see if Iowa can hang with Wisconsin. They did play Michigan and Penn State close. Or is Ohio State just that much better than the rest of the Big Ten.

Minnesota has a brutal schedule after racing off to an8-0 start.

Can't believe Ohio State and Maryland is being hyped on tv for Saturday.  Will be a 'mercy rule' game.

OSU suspends Chase Young "indefinitely" for rules violation.  I fully expect that indefinitely is code for missing the Maryland and Rutgers games the next two weeks and the matter will be taken care of before the PSU and Michigan games!!

Dont watch a lot of B10, but Minnesota is really good.  QB is efficient, OL is big and the defense is super experienced and has 8 seniors.  They're kind of an unknown, but PJ Fleck may have them in the Top 25 to stay for a few years.

Only saw the 4th Qtr of the early football games because I was at the Pitt basketball game.

PSU/Minnesota and Baylor/TCU both exciting 4th Qtrs.  SMU/ECU was crazy too.

Now waiting for this LSU/Bama battle!!

Early game highlights:

Arkansas loses to Western Kentucky.  Horrendous loss for an SEC school.
Minnesota holds off PSU's 4th Qtr comeback attempt with a late INT.
SMU beat ECU 59-51. ECU WR Tyler Snead caught 19 passes. Teams had 1300 combined yards.
Baylor beat TCU in 3 OTs to remain undefeated.
OSU rolls up 73 on Maryland.  Rumor is a Maryland snitch turned in the Chase Young story into the NCAA.

Very happy for Minnesota and Illinois! Both typical Big Ten doormats (especially Illinois...Minnesota at least has been relevant in recent years).

Also Virginia Tech as I alluded to a week or two ago is getting better and better. I'm smiling just thinking how many Pitt fans will be expecting Pitt to be two TD favorites in Blacksburg lol. In all seriousness they are a nice team and probably better than Wake is.

That loss for Penn State honestly doesnít mean anything.

If they eat Ohio State and win the Big Ten championship they are going to the playoffs. They would not go if they donít do those two things, even had they won yesterday.

Agreed. The only way that OSU/PSU winner misses IMO is if PSU beats OSU then Minnesota beats PSU again.

Arkansas fires Chad Morris a day after losing big to Western Kentucky. He finishes at 4-18.

I usually feel that a coach in college deserves more time (a'la Taggert at FSU kind of got screwed) but his time at Arkansas was a total dumpster fire.
