Any names at West a yet?

This will be a tough job for whomever takes it. The parents here are brutal. Every parent has a D1 child.

North Hills High School now has 3 head football coaches teaching there- Pat Carey (North Hills), Eric Kasperowicz (Pine-Richland) and Dave Schoppe (West Allegheny).  Also the head basketball coach at Fox Chapel, Zach Skrinjar, teaches in the North Hills Middle School.

Better to have 3 guys in your school who are head coaches somewhere than....

10 guys in your school who used to be YOUR head coach...

One of the problems that district have in hiring a new coach is that the old coaches they fired are filing teaching jobs. Where I taught we had assistant coaches working at Bethel, Baldwin and USC and no assistants holding a job for the team at that school.

I donít believe P-R has any coaches in the district. Also not sure if more than 50% are even teachers.

What does that say about this coach? That not one of his co-teachers, wanted him on their staff? Or is north Hills just a great place to teach, terrible place to coach?

Well, Dave Schoppe was recently the offensive coordinator at North Hills for 4 seasons, 2015-18.  Last year he left to become an assistant to the new coach at West Allegheny, now gets the head coaching job.  He is a West Allegheny graduate (1988).  Lots of other coaching experience at places like Bishop Canevin, South Fayette and Moon.  He lives in Moon...
