Pens and Ducks tied 1-1 after the first period.Cole scored for the Pens and the Ducks scored on a five on 3 power play. Lot of shots and chances given up by both teams that period. Ducks had 16 shots and the Pens had a whopping 21!

Goals by Sheary and Kessel for the Pens and Perry for the Ducks and it is 3-2 Pens after 2 periods

pens maintain the lead with really good defense, puck possession and great goaltending from MAF to win 3-2 over the Ducks. Really great overall game from the Pens. I thought there might be a hangover from all the celebrating over the summer and short rest but I haven't seen it yet.

Pens went up quick 2-0 on goals by Kesseland Cullen but the Pens couldn't stay out of the penalty box and Colorado tied it up quick 2-2 after one period

Way too many penalties in this game and Avs tie the game on their 6th PP chance.  Pen was tripped but no call from refs right before Avs scored.

Pens takings a lot of penalties this season so far. They have had to try and kill a 5 on 3 in every game so far. By the way, anyone else seeing that blonde hottie sitting behind HC Sullivan in the front row? Wow!!!

Pens lose in OT 4-3. Double deflection off Letang and an Av. Can't blame Fleury for that one. As KidRaven said, Pens got to stop with all the penalties. Pens did get a point so I am happy with that

Pens down to the Canadians 1-0 after 1 period. Fleury gives up a goal 23 seconds into the game

Boy, the Penguins look not only disorganized, but slooooow, even Hagelin. Wilson simply isn't cutting it as a top 4 winger. He's stumbling and bumbling around every shift. And, no matter how much the coaches want it to be so, Hornqvist just isn't a fit with Malkin. Believe the eyes, not the fantasy stats. I'd like to see Malkin centering Rust and Kunhackl for at least a few shifts in the 3rd period.

Hope Sheary is ok. That was a nasty stick to the face he took from Radulov.

Fleury is the only reason this game is only 2-0.

Not liking all the penalties the Pens are taking still. Pens get a four minute power play on that high stick to Sheary and the Pens take a penalty. Pens get another power play at the end of the second period and Malkin takes a hooking penalty. Really frustrating

Pens lose 4-0. It's early in the season to say this, but that was a bad loss. Unorganized, slow and all around pathetic. Only bright spot was Fleury. he did not deserve a 4-0 loss on his record. Hopefully Crosby is back on Thursday. Letang also left halfway through the 3rd period. Hopefully he is okay

I sort of expect the Penguins to sashay through games until it becomes evident they have to turn it up to make the playoffs or get better positioning. I wonder how long it will be until they tune out Sullivan?

Penguins announce a 3 year extension with Goalie Matt Murray for 3.75 million a year to start after this season. Sounds like the Pens will be putting all their eggs in the Murray basket
