There was Group of 5 talk on last week's thread about Boise/Cincy being the G5 front-runners.  Boise clearly has the upper hand right now because of their current ranking.

But how about the AAC.  Has turned into more than just UCF.  Cincy, Temple, Memphis, Tulane, and SMU have all proven themselves against P5 teams.  And that's not even mentioning Houston or Navy, who have also been a thorn in the side of P5 teams the past decade or so.  Really fun and competitive conference who's probably gonna get some nice slotted TV spots in the next 5 weeks as these teams all start playing each other.

Mountain West having a great year too repping themselves against Power 5 schools.  Boise, San Diego State, Air Force, Hawai'i, Wyoming, and even San Jose State all own wins over Power 5 schools.

And like I said above in my original post, the App State/Louisiana game on Wednesday night is a huge game in the Sun Belt between two really good programs.

Fun year in Group of 5

App State pulls away from Louisiana late in the 4th quarter last night to remain the only unbeaten Sun Belt team.

NC State beats Syracuse.  The Orange are a hot, overrated mess.

Iíll go out on a limb and predict Texas to upset Oklahoma. The Texas QB is a fantastic runner and it seems in bigger games they allow him to carry the ball 15+ times. I think they can control the clock.

Miami beats Virgina 17-9 to give the Cavs their first ACC loss. Now we have a race for the division.

Miami/Virginia was FUGLY.  A night after Syracuse's abysmal showing.  C'mon ACC, pick up the pace in these nationally televised games and get yourself together!

In the 3rd Qtr, Oregon is rolling Colorado in the late game.

Watched the game.  It was great.  SC did not play like a 2-3 team.

Surprised nobody mentioned the touchdown they took away from the Penn State TE.  Just an awful call.  Regs are getting worse and worse.  And they even reviewed it.

Yea really, what the hell were the guys in the review room looking at?  This topic was trending all over Twitter on Saturday night, was like the Steeler's Jesse James call all over again.  Even the "Pylon Cam" showed the ball crossing over the end zone.  Also interesting because the head ref has a shaky past, at best, making calls against PSU in past years.
