Rams get shredded at home by TB and the Cowboys lose to the Teddy B led Saints.  That means the best record in the NFC: SF 49ers!

What a game last night between the Saints and Cowboys. Offense was lacking because both defenses played really good. Bridgewater is not a good QB IMO and I don't know why Sean Payton likes him so much but so far he has been doing just enough to get 2 wins for the Saints. I wish he would play Hill more but those are the only 2 QBs available right now with Brees hurt so he is trying not to get another injured.

Man is the Saints defense looking great right now. I'm glad I'm off today so I can watch FS1 and listen to Skip Bayless make excuses for his cowboys! Without Brees the Saints beat 2 really good teams in the Seahawks and Cowboys and will have a test next week against the surprisingly uprising Buccaneers who as KR said, put it to the Rams yesterday. Saints have the Buccaneers, Jaguars, Bears and Cardinals and then a bye so I'm assuming they will hold out Brees until after the bye if everything goes okay. Saints fans were hoping for the team to go 3-3 without Brees and so far they are 2-0.

Vonteze Burfict was just suspended for the remainder of the season for his illegal head to head hit yesterday. Of course he is filing an appeal but IMO, the NFL is better off without him. Mightíve looked better on him if he didnít run off the field smiling and blowing kisses to the Indianapolis fans

Itís amazing how well the Browns offense plays when Mayfield is running what they call instead of dropping back 20 yards, rolling right, forcing to OBJ.

I doubt it lasts long but shows you what they can do when they execute.

Saints after beating Tampa Bay today are now 4-1 and are in sole possession of first place in the NFC South. Tampa Bay, after looking like world beaters putting up 50 points on the Rams were brought down to earth by the Saints defense. Tampa was able to score a couple garbage touchdowns at the end but the Saints win 31-24 and now have Jax, San Fran and Arizona before their bye and possibly get Brees back

NFC looks brutal right now as it is easily the deeper conference.  Going to be a battle for playoffs.

Snyder needs to fire his GM Bruce Allen. I'm not the biggest fan or detractor of Jay Gruden (he honestly is/was a lower/middle tier coach) but I'm not sure that anyone could have won with this roster.

Just read the only way Tomlin would take the Skins job is if he had complete control.

Tomlin potentially could get that chance in Pgh, too, if Colbert retires at the end of the year, which wouldn't surprise me at all.

It wasn't pretty but the Saints were able to win again with their backup QB Teddy Bridgewater over the Jaquars today 13-6

Saints have a big game next week against the Bears and their defense. Bridgewater is going to have to step up if the Saints are gonna have  a chance. Drew Brees is saying he might be back the week after when they play Arizona but I'm still thinking they will hold him out because their bye is the following week and Brees should come back after the bye IMO

Would be nice if Tom Donahoe would come back as the GM. He has not been out of the NFL serving with a number of teams since falling on his own sword so that the Rooney's would not have to fire Cowher in some power struggle. Tom has always been a great evaluator of talent and he is a loyal to a fault guy especially toward the Rooney family.  Maybe help with draft picks and coaching hires.

Hopefully not as GM. He had a tough go in Buffalo and has not had such a role since Buffalo fired him in 2005. He is a senior advisor for the Eagles but said role usually does not have much in the way of day to day operations.

My Niners are 5-0 after smothering the Rams.  This defense is scary as they shut down the Rams and held Goff to under 80 yards passing.

The Rams are now 3 back in the loss column in the NFC West plus are 0-1 be SF and Seattle who are ahead of them.

49ers vs Saints in December may be for a #1 and #2 seed!
