Diaz is really really bad defensively. I was too kind the other day.

This is a crazy game. Will never understand why the umpire threw out Musgrove.

Newman at SS
Moran at 2B
Kang at 3B

So much for infield defense...

If these are the three you're going to play, at least put Kang at 2B, Moran at 3B...

#CanClintNow

Kang can only play SS or 3B; Newman can play SS, 2B or 3B; Moran can only play 3B or 2B. Newman is a better SS than Kang, Kang is a better 3B than Moran; thus the configuration makes sense defensively. Instead of 2 guys playing out of position, only Moran is.

Bullpen is so bad and killing this team.  Another wasted offensive night so far.

A tough ask for the bullpen when your starter gets ejected 2 outs into the 1st innning. Nonetheless, the middle relievers have been subpar for sure.

Kang is a MIDDLE infielder, pushed to 3B by the Pirates.
Moran is a CORNER infielder, stuck at 2B last night by the Pirates.

Fortunately for ClownClint, his bozo moves last night didn't matter.
He (and they) got upstaged under the big top last night by the umpire who tossed Musgrove.

This ship is sinking quickly.  It's time for ClownClint to put the best players he's got in the positions that give them the best opportunity for success, AND LEAVE THEM THERE.

2B Frazier
LF Reynolds
CF Marte
1B Bell
RF Cabrera/Polanco
3B Moran
SS Newman
C  Diaz/Stallings (doesn't matter)

Bell knocks in 2 with a single in the first, but Braves go back to back in the second to tie it.

Braves go back to back for the second time in the inning.  Baseball has become HR derby as over 20 teams are on pace to hit over 200 of them this year.

I wonder what's on Discovery or History Channel tonight since I clearly don't have to watch the continuing ClownClint Flop Show...

Pirates fight back to 4-4 as Archer started striking people
Out but gives up a 3 run bomb in the 6th.  He does finish the inning but damage is done.

Think Iím going to the dark side. Might be the last but Iím going to just root against them until some meaningful changes happen. This season is going to get ridiculously ugly. There is no answer to this bullpen.

I actually think this is a 100 loss team.

No team can win without pitching, not one. The Pirates have had some unfortunate luck with injuries to their starters, but both Huntington and now Coonelly have said that spending is not the answer. The plan is to struggle along until Williams and Lyles can return, and, hopefully, Kela, since outside of Keller, there is little to no pitching at AAA or AA to call up.

I expect the Pirates to be serious sellers at/before the trade deadline.

I actually think this is a 100 loss team.

They'd have to go 32-64 the rest of the way to lose 100.  They're currently only a half game out of the basement so, I guess with some excellent mismanagement and possibly sending Marte to the Phillies as has been rumored, they could hit the 100 loss mark.  PA has two teams, the Pirates and Flyers who have gone a combined 84 years without a title, although the Flyers overall have been more competitive.  Flyers last hoisted the Stanley Cup in 1975 back in the Bill Barber, Bobby Clark days.  Pirates back in 1979 when Willie Stargell and Company were playing.  Sad.
