I watched a lot of this game. Carolina DOMINATED early and had a few grade A chances including an open net, a 5 on 3, etc, but to Boston's credit they weathered the storm, no pun intended.

With that said pretty bummed with the result.

Tukka Rask won Boston that game last night. he was really good.

I also wonder if this has ever happened in the SC Playoffs. Sweeps in all rounds to get to the SCF. That is if Boston wins the next game

Thought the Blues had this one but the Sharks score in the last minute to tie the game 4-4 and they are going to overtime

And San Jose wins in OT 5-4 and they take a 2-1 series lead over the Blues. Giving up a goal in the last minute of the 3rd period and then losing in OT, that's a loss that can stick with a team IMO

Maybe the only thing saving St Louis and that has them fired up is that the refs totally missed a hand pass that should've nullified the Sharks winning goal.

Refs have really made some bad calls in these playoffs

These playoffs are going to be remembered for the officiating mistakes and last night's was insane.  Everyone is laughing at the NHL for butchering this and not having a hand pass be reviewed.  It's also amazing that every official who is supposed to watch the puck, missed it.  This isn't like 2 years ago when the Pens got the advantage of an early whistle in Game 6 at Nashville.  That happens several times a year and the refs are trained to blow the whistle when they can't see the puck.  This is just a horrible miss that was easy to see.

St Louis is furious as any team would be while San Jose is playing dumb and saying calls go both ways and sometimes you get lucky.  SJ has gotten the benefit of a lot of timely calls and non calls this post season.  Obviously I don't think the NHL is fixing things for SJ, but man are they lucky.

I'm sure this will all lead to expanded replay next season, but that's not going to do anything to help St Louis right now or Vegas in the 1st round.

couldn't agree more with this. Now Vegas should've never given up those 4 goals, but calling that 5 minute major penalty was just a really bad call by those refs

Boston sweeps Carolina as Rask gets the shutout and wins 4-0 and sweep the series 4 games to zero. They will now get some rest and wait to see who they will play in the SCF

On another note: The NHL has come out and said a mistake was made on the non hand pass call that gave the Sharks the win in OT last night. A lot of good that does!

Iím just hopeful this pattern holds true: Islanders sweep Pens and get swept by Carolina; Carolina sweeps Islanders and get swept by Boston.  Means Boston should be getting swept in the SCF.

St Louis Blues are the Western Conference Champions as they defeat the Sharks tonight and win the series 4 games to 2. Iím so glad the Sharks didnít win. They got way too many calls gifted to them in these playoffs

Now letís all hope the Blues sweep the Bruins!
