Nice little ceremony for Malkin to celebrate his 1,000 points. His whole family was on the ice with him and WOW! is his wife hot!

Rust and Letang are not in the lineup today and Murray is back in the net

Pens look sloppy early and the Blues look ready to play and Oscar Sundqvist, former Penguin, scores to make it 1-0 Blues early

Wow did the Pens look flat in that first period. Nothing new for a Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh. Blues have a 2-0 lead after 1 period. Penguins had 2 power play opportunities and nothing to show for them. St. Louis is skating circles around them right now. I can't even count how many times the Penguins turned the puck over. pens did get 13 shot on goal but the Blues goalie was up to the task

I don't know what is going on now. Blues score twice not even 3 minutes into the 2nd period and are now up 4-0! DeSmith in goal now

There's one! maybe that will kick start the Penguins. Simon was able to slide one in the net under the Blues goalie. Pens now trail 4-1

pens get another power play and nothing. power play goes from looking unstoppable on Thursday to hot garbage today and the Pens still trail 4-1 after two periods. The way the Pens are playing, 3 goals to tie seems to be a tough hill to climb

Not even a fun game to watch as the Penguins were outmatched in every aspect of this game. Pens down 5-1 with 3 minutes left. Only good news so far is the Islanders lose to the Red Wings today 2-1. Blues were much more aggressive today and the Penguins had no idea how to handle it. Kessel for some reason looked lost on the power play like he was too timid to shoot for some reason.

Big let down today so we will see how the Penguins come back to play the Flyers who will be desperate for a win.

The game was a success from the Pens charity fundraising perspective...

Otherwise, I don't know why the team ever schedules these 1PM games of their own volition. The Pens never seem to play well in them and today was no exception.

Canadiens lose again and itís looking more and more like they will be the odd team out.  Columbus loses in OT but that does get them a point.

Columbus, Montreal, Islanders and Washington all lose yesterday which at least means the Penguins don't lose any ground in the standings

Carolina wins last night 4-2 so they move to the first wild card spot with 85 points, Columbus in the 2nd WC spot with 84 points and as KR said, Montreal is on the outside looking in with 81 points

In the West, Arizona lost last night in OT 3-2 to Edmonton as they are clinging to the last playoff spot and I would think if they get into the playoffs, Tocchet has a good shot to win the Jack Adams trophy for coach of the year. I pretty much think it is a 2 man race between Trotz and Tocchet

Yes, it was not a national game on NBC or NBCSN that I could find.

Murray is in goal tonight. Only faved 13 shots on Saturday before he was pulled

Rust is back in the lineup tonight playing with Kessel and Blueger. Malkin is out

Huge 2 points on the line tonight for both teams

Flyers score on the power play but it is immediately waived off by the refs for goaltender interference but the Flyers are challenging. Pens also think the Flyers were offsides so if this goal is called a goal, the Pens are ready to challenge

Refs say good goal and now the Pens are challenging for offsides. This is crazy right now. Was definitely offsides but we will see

Refs call no goal due to offsides. Flyers still have 1:38 of power play time
