New Promotion: All Elite Wrestling
« on: January 01, 2019, 10:21:22 AM »

Been rumored for months, but it is official now. No way they can compete with WWE and that shouldn’t be the goal.  However, this probably isn’t good for ROH and Impact as they have another competitor.

News broke that Kenny Omega has decided to leave New Japan.  Seems there is going to be a bidding war between WWE and All Elite for his services.  The caveat is that all his friends (members of The Elite) are starting AEW.  WWE wants him badly though and reports are that they have made him a fantastic offer that most new guys don't get.

AEW had a party last night to hype their Vegas show in May called Double or Nothing.  As expected it was announced that Kenny Omega has signed with AEW and looks to be set for a match with Chris Jericho for the show.

AEW announced with they will have a live weekly show in TNT later this year.  No day of the week was announced, but AEW did fill a trademark for Tuesday Dynamite at one point, but I can't see that day because TNT has NBA coverage on Tuesday and Thursday.  AEW won't go head to head with WWE on Monday or Friday (SmackDown) so Wednesday seems to make the most sense unless they will just be pre-empted a lot during basketball season or moved to another station.

I'm looking forward to this. I've been really bored with the WWE lately
