Looks like Malkin will be back in the lineup tonight as he was practicing with Bjugstad and Kessel. Cullen was o the 4th line so it looks like Bleuger is the odd man out which I disagree with

Looks like Sullivan is demoting Kessel to the second power play but we will see how long that lasts

Murray is in net and Malkin is back on the 2nd line with Kessel and Bjugstad. Itís getting close to do or die for the Penguins as they are clinging on to that last playoff spot

Crosby gets the easiest goal he will probably ever get as the Flyers lead him wide open to the side of the net and the Pens take the lead 1-0

Pens up on the Flyers 1-0 after one period. Matta did not finish the first as he took a fall into the boards

Flyers were putting on some big time pressure but the Penguins get a goal from Bjugstad assists from Malkin and Kessel. Pens up 2-0

Pens get a huge break as the red blows his whistle way too quick and the Flyers get robbed out of a goal when Murray whiffs on a puck with his glove and a Flyer is able to put it in the net. But all for not. Pens stay up 2-0

Pens getting severely outshot so far but the Pens are still up 2-0 after two periods

Would still love to see the Pens put some more shots on the rookie goalie

Guentzel scores to make it 3-0 And Crosby gets an assist

Bad news is Malkin takes a horrible penalty as he swings his stick and takes a 5 minute penalty. Flyers can easily get back in this game now

Murray doesn't get the shutout but he stops 50 shots tonight and comes up huge as the Pens are able to defeat the Flyers 4-1. Letang gets the empty net goal at the end to break the tie with Paul Coffey and become the all time leading goal scorer for defenseman in Penguins history. I also believe with 2 points tonight, Crosby passes Sergei Federov for #50 in the NHL all time scoring list.

Solid game by the Penguins tonight but an awful penalty takin by Malkin at the end. You just can't swing your stick at someone. Just a childish thing to do. Malkin has to learn to be more in control than that. Great game from Murray tonight and this win was just what the Pens needed

Good win tonight. Murray was excellent especially given Pens had only 5 D after Maatta got hit into the boards from behind and the 5 minute PP at the end.

Letang played over 31 minutes and scored a terrific 200' EN goal to break his tie with Coffey and become Pens' all-time leading d-man goal-scorer.

Malkin faces a hearing today. I will be shocked if he doesn't get at least 1 game.

Hopefully we hear some news about Maatta and if he is injured or not today.

28 shots is way too many to give up in the 2nd period last night. Hopefully they tighten that up. I still think Blueger needs to be in the lineup. IMO, Wilson or Simon could be scratched or even Cullen can take a day off. I also think Hornqvist needs to be playing more than just on the 4th line. We will see if there are any changes for Wednesday's game against Edmonton

Maatta reported with the dreaded "upper body" injury. From the way he crashed into the boards, my guess is shoulder/upper arm injury.

You're probably correct that Malkin will get suspended although had the refs been more vigilant, they'd have blown the whistle and penalized Raffl for punching Malkin several times in the back of the head that precipitated Malkin swinging his stick.

Agree about Maatta. Looked like a shoulder to me when it happened also. Also agree about Raffl but we all know the person who fights back is always the one who gets caught. LOL

Malkin is an idiot at times.  He is one of the Penguins most-undisciplined (as far as penalties) players.
He should be suspended, and it should be for the Outdoor game against the Flyers.
