Matt Murray off IR but Hornqvist was put on IR today. Jarry was sent back to WB. Not sure if Murray is starting tonight or not.

Pens play the Blackhawks tonight and hopefully the Penguins don't play down to their competition and take this team lightly. Chicago is the worst team in the NHL going by the standing but these are the games that rip your heart out when your team goes in thinking that it's gonna be easy

DeSmith is in goal again tonight and Murray is the backup. Cullen is also back and centering the 4th line

Frustrating game so far. Chicago scores the first two goals but the Penguins get one as the Penguins are down 2-1 after one period

Rust with his second goal tied this game up 2-2. Great backchecking by Grant created that goal

Disappointing loss last night as the Penguins lose to the last place Blackhawks 6-3. Blackhawks are the worst team in the NHL and the only offense the Penguins could get was 3 goals from Rust. Congrats to Rust on the natural hat trick but this team is only going to go as far as Crosby and even Malkin can take it and when they don't score, this team struggles.

Pens were down 4-3 early in the 3rd period and couldn't tie it up and Chicago was able to get 2 empty net goals. Pens now have a back to back at home with Boston on Friday and the LA Kings on Saturday. I would expect to see Murray on Friday but we will see

I know that it is more anecdotal than helpful but the Pens have been downright awful in Chicago for the past decade now. The Pens have been playing well of late a loss is ok here and there.

Agree but it hurts more when you lose to a bad last place team and you are scratching for points to get back in the playoff hunt. IMO, a lot of this falls on the stars of this team. Malkin has been absolutely invisible, not scoring lately and he continues to take bad penalties and would rather make fancy passes than shoot the puck.

I don't disagree with you at all. Trust me, kind of like beating Philly when they are down, I was absolutely hoping for a win to break this losing streak in Chicago. I just did not expect it. Even though the Blackhawks are awful, this didn't feel like a pathetic loss, either.

DeSmith starting tonight against the Bruins which I am kind surprised about. Maybe Sullivan is thinking the Kings tomorrow might be an easier matchup so he is giving Murray the easier game? Only reason I can think of why he didnít start Murray tonight.

Pens get a late goal from Grant to take the lead 1-0 after one period. DeSmith made some highlight reel, Sportscenter top 10 saves that period

Kessel with the goal early in the second period to give the Pens a 2-0 lead

Boston scores but the refs say no goal as they blew the whistle while the puck laid on DeSmith Ďs chest. Surprised they didnít call a penalty for running into the goalie

Boston scores 1 but ZAR gets a shorthanded goal to make it 3-1 Pens after two periods

Pens hang on for a 5-3 win with ZAR getting an EN goal.
