Watching the game on ESPN and looks like Iowa is ranked 14.  Pitt looks light years better than. What we say last year.  Beating a Top 15 team in their building would be a huge statement.

14 Iowa 69
Pitt 68
Final

Panthers had 2 shots in the final 10 seconds and couldn’t get the ball to drop.  Pitt’s youth showed towards the end with turnovers and Iowa’s seniors took over in the second half.

I agree. Pitt looked frazzled and nervous and when they weren't turning the ball over, they were taking some pretty bad shots. But still a gutsy game from Pitt and they should've learned a lot from it

X fouling out caused the frantic chaos at the end.  If he's still in the game, he's coming up the court and driving to the hoop.  This film possibly gives opponents a key...attack X at times and get him in foul trouble.  Pitt struggles mightily to score without him.

Also, they're still in the mix to land Akok Akok.  UConn may be the favorite, but since he hasn't committed yet, he must still be thinking things over.

City Game

4-1 Duquesne 35

6-1 Pitt 40       (14:33 2nd)

Pitt is 0-10 from 3    :'(  ...not that I'd be crushed if The Duke's won.  Good for them if the get it done, but I've always been a Pitt fan first!   ;D

For bad loss for Capel at Pitt

Niagra 71
Pitt 70

Shows this program is still rebuilding and young so no matter how bright the future could be, they will have growing pains.

Pitt down 39-27 at the half to West Virginia.

Pitt can not handle the defensive pressure WV is putting on them. A lot of turnovers and a lot of blocked shots by West Virginia

Pitt loses to West Virginia 69-59. Very sloppy game from Pitt IMO.

Pitt drops to 7-3

WVU improves to 6-3

Pitt wins 78-43 over Maryland Eastern Shore. I know they won by 35 points but they didn’t look that impressive. Maybe they got a lead and were working on thing? But I saw a lot of turnovers

Man I've had it with these North Alabama, Eastern Shore, VMI, New Orleans, Central Arkansas games. I know why you have to schedule 10 games like this, but it's time to bring on the ACC schedule and some real teams after New Years.
