Crosby with the wraparound to make it 1-0 Pens. That was all set up by the tenacity from Hornqvist. Awesome

Pens up 1-0 after one period. Flyers still have 17 seconds left on their power play to start the second period. That period was 95% Flyers and only 5% Penguins but that 5% resulted in a goal. Murray was excellent and all the puck luck in that period went to the Penguins. So many times the Flyers had a wide open net but they just couldnít find the puck or it just rolls off their sticks.

First half of that power play looked awful but a Flyer breaks his stick and the Pens capitalize and Brassard gets the power play goal to make it 2-0 Pens!

Looks like the Flyers are just putting 4 people on the blue line and not letting the Pens rush into the zone. Pens need to just start dumping the puck in and crashing the boards.

Brassard was on the top power play also

Pens get a 4 on 3 power play for over a minute on a high stick on Sheary and Malkin scores to make it 3-0 Pens. Malkin blew that past him and Crosby was screening Elliot

Make it 4-0 Pens! Dumoulin scores right off the face off! 2 goals in 5 seconds and Crosby has a goal and 2 assists. Surprised they are not pulling Elliot

And Malkin takes one of his typical bad penalties. Come on man!

Pens up 4-1 after two periods. Flyers still have a little over a minute of power play time to start the third period. Iím hoping the Pens finish strong versus just surviving and ride that wave into game 4

Schultz with the power play goal to make it 5-1 Pens. Malkin and Crosby with the assists and that is 4 points for Crosby. Pens power play toady is 3 for 6

Pens win 5-1 and take a 2 games to 1 series lead. Flyers had all the momentum to start this game but the Penguins kept plugging along, scored the first goal, took the air out of the fans, Murray made some good saves and the Pens win the game. Pens needed to win that game and stop the Flyers momentum from game 2. Pens power play looked a lot better even though I think they need to start dumping the puck in and the Pens penalty kill looked good also

Back in Philly on Wednesday!

Tremendous response by the Pens!

Murray very well could have been the #1 star. He kept the Pens afloat during what was really the only period of this series that the Flyers outplayed the Pens. Then he shut them down the rest of the way aside from the seeing eye double screen shot.

Good game for Crosby line. Malkin played well. Brassard line was probably the only one to play well in the first. And the defense stepped it up after the first.

Overall nice win and now two days rest.

Agree with your points on Murray YIG. He was great in the first period and after that the defense showed up and Murray wasnít tested that much after that but when he was, he made the saves.

Murray was great when Philly came out hard in the first period. He made all the saves until the Pens got their skates under them. I thought Philly was the better team after 1, but Crosby had the Pens up 1-0. An excellent response by the Pens after the game 2 fiasco.

Just read that Crosby has 171 playoff points in his career. 61 goals and 110 assists and that is just 1 point behind Lemieux for first all time in Penguins playoff history

Columbus wins in overtime, again, taking a 2-0 lead on the Capitals.
Now, the series shifts to Columbus.

Wild win 6-2 over the Jets and are now down 2-1 in that series

Vegas scores 3 in the 3rd period to beat the Kings 3-2 and take a 3-0 series lead

Columbus wins 5-4 in OT (Another overtime game for them) and win both games in Washington to take a 2-0 series lead. Trotz and the Capitals gotta be feeling the pressure now. And this loss happens after Trotz pulls Grubauer and puts in Holtby after the second period. So now who will they go with in Game 3? But as they always say, you have to win 4 so this series is not over yet

If I were them I would start Holtby. But like you said that's why they play 7. If they win 3-4 they are I  good enough shape.
