YO YEPPER

Do you have today's YDR? I'm looking for a score for the Steel-High vs William Penn Girls game played yesterday.

Here is a site, yepper actually told me about. This guy doesn't miss any York/adams league and non league scores, your score is here. This is the girls page, he does boys and all sports. As far as I know it is new this year.

don't bother with the daily record.  active shooter in Harrisburg Fri. 5 P.M., not as word about it in Saturday's paper.

as for scores, it's like Friday never happened.  better luck on the dispatch website.

Yepper, with that site I just posted and you told me about two weeks ago, I doubt I'll look at either York paper the rest of the year. I do wish he'd go the llhoops way and put schedules up so you could go right to the team you want, but nevertheless all the scores are there. Haven't looked to see if he posts daily yet, but what he is doing is a godsend for when I need to look next week. Berks Game Day, LLHoops.com, Cumberland County Sentinel and now this guy keep you up to date with all the District 3 standings and scores.

No probably not. Berks Game Day and Cumberland do a good job with boxes. LLHoops does not but LNP, Lancaster News Paper does put in box scores most of the time. York Daily Record used to, but have not been good this year and if you look at scores five, six times or less they want you to pay this year. Not worth it at all.

Your best bet for a box score is probably to drive down to the school and look at the Rollers score book in the AD's office.  lol  I'm having the same issues with multiple games and wrestling matches too.  So much for the electronic age.  In the old days, you could count on every single box score in the paper.  The coolest thing used to be when Ronnie Christ used to do the progressive scoring for the big game.  You could see every score, who made them and the runs the various teams had.  I used to digest that with my milk and cookies at bed time as a kid!

It's really a strange thing going on right now. For the last two years I been watching games in every state. Many states are just like PennDead and you find no boxes hardly at all. And BTW except for Erie, Sharon and Altoona and Williamsport, it's almost impossible to find boxes anywhere in western pa either.

Yet there are a handful of state's than include every single box score of 90%+ games that are played. The ones off the top of my head or Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Nevada and Utah. Some schools and even some states are going to a site called Scorebook Live. I really don't know how it works, but schools I know that use it, it tracks your games from start to finish and keeps a running box score then when the game is over it's all there. There's also something called GameChanger that does the same thing. It is mostly just used my major tournaments right now. Although a lot of schools have their baseball teams hooked up to them. There are a lot of things out there now for high schools to do and it's all free, but for the most part Pa schools don't use them. Holidaysburg does use the Cube to broadcast, audio and video of all basketball games for about five years now. A few others have tried it but Holidaysburg is the only one that sticks with it.

Another one that keeps running box scores is EPLAYSTATS.com, but as far as I know Texas is the only state using it.

Long before Ronnie Christ if a team played Saturday afternoon the full results were published Saturday night including stats, box scores etc. for every team in the area and some across state.
Now that it's gotten much faster an easier their lazy butts don't want to lift a finger.
