Wow... Did Brazo Retire or did they let him go?

At Ringold are you sure it wasn't Jason Ruscitto?  I know he gave up Sto-Rox(again)

Ray is 64 and part of the whole leaving West Mifflin  (for Steel Valley) controversy back in 2006 had to do some with retirement. With that said I am not sure if his plans are/were to retire from teaching but keep coaching, or if he is someone who will just walk away from it all, or end up elsewhere, etc.

If he is leaving or out, and if out if forced or voluntary, it must be mentioned yet again that West Mifflin has been a playoff regular with Braszo and has never made it without. Without (1984-1988, 2006-2009) WM not once qualified for thr post season. From 1989-2005 they made it in 1995, 1996, 1999-2005) and in his second stint 2010 to present have made it every year. With that said he has a solid 3 voting block against him on the school board. He survived the school boards wrath in 1998 (he was fired then rehired after the 1997 2-8 season) but even in his return,  which was backed by the controversial girls hoops coach Phil Shar, he had 3 dissenting votes. I would have to see what the current board even is.

So we are going into mid April and there are still multiple jobs open.  Anyone know any updates or time lines that schools are running on?
Did Northgate and\or West Mifflin actually open?

I believe WM has a standing one year contract and jobs are 'opened' every year. If there is no problems, then the coach is  basically rehired without any ado.  Maybe that is the case here. Someone sees jobs opened and does not understand the process and assumes the coach wss fired.  This is a 'quiet' way of firing a coach..(gutless?) in many cases, however.

So was WM even opened? Still have not seen anything other than the "word around the campfire" post.

The northgate job isn't posted on their website.  Did you see it was opened somewhere?

Quaker Valley should be naming their coach within the week.  At least that is what I am hearing.

The rumors are coming from outside the district. So not entirely sure if accurate.
