Guentzel with a nice feed off the wall to Kessel and he snaps it in the net to take a 2-1 lead!

Pens scored one but Jarry gives up two shaky goals so the Tangers take a 3-2 lead into the locker room after two periods

Pens tie it up 3-3 on a Hornqvist breakaway poweray goal. What a feed by Malkin!

Rangers get a lucky bounce off of Letangís skate and into the net behind Jarry. Rangers take the lead 4-3 with 8 minutes left in the game

Pens could not get that tying goal and lose 4-3. Pretty disappointing loss knowing that the Pens were up 1-0 and 2-1 and the backbreaker was 2 bad goals given up by Jarry in the 2nd period. He played good the 1st and 3rd periods but the 2nd period was his downfall. Shultz came back in the second period but only lasted a shift and went back to the locker room. Gonna hurt if he can't come back soon

Pens just have to make sure this does not become a losing streak and come out hard against the Islanders on Thursday

Greg McKegg was put on waivers today. No big loss. He wasn't producing anyway

Big game tonight for the Penguins against the Islanders who have the #2 offense in the NHL at this time. Pens gotta start beating these Metro teams and putting some points up. Need a big game from Jarry IMO

Schultz put on IR today. Ruhwhedel takes his place in the lineup

McKegg will go to WBS and provide depth in case of injuries in Pgh.

Guentzel scores on the PP to give the Pens a 1-0 lead.

Pens draw first blood. pens on the power play, Letang shoots one from the point, Guentzel with a great screen in front and it looks like it might've went off Guentzel's stick and into the net

Pens up 1-0. Guentzel is on fire

Pens and Islanders tied 1-1 after 2 periods. Pens playing with fire and have to stay out of the penalty box for the rest of the game

Very tight checking game. Not too much room for either team for any good offensive chances. seems like this game is gonna come down to a mistake or some traffic in front of the net and a dirty goal goes in

Phil the thrill! with the power play goal to make it 2-1 Pens. Letang and Crosby with the assists

That's two for Letang tonight
