Baltimore Dunbar ESPN 30 for 30
« on: August 04, 2017, 10:07:22 PM »

on Tuesday August 8th, ESPN's 30 for 30 will be broadcasting a documentary about the great (and I don't use that term loosely) Baltimore Dunbar teams from the early 80's. It's titled 'Baltimore Boys'

here's an article from long ago for some background

I'll have to catch it on archive or replay as I'll be treading the boards in Wildwood.

Watched it. It was a tearjerker not only for the memories of the games, many of which I was at. Especially remember the game being stopped against DeMatha when Muggsy, all 5-3 of him, made that behind the head pass to Reggie for the slam dunk. Another I was at, which they didn't mention, was the total blasting of a proud Camden on their on floor when Camden fans threw bricks at the Dunbar bus as it pulled away after Muggsy dominated Camden's All-American Kevin Walls, probably a foot taller. Then the destruction in the streets in the late 60'swhich I also saw a lot of.
